Transfer issue/problem one:
Getting together and sharing ideas about teaching and
learning.
Strategy(s) to address transfer issue/problem
one:
- Planning a Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL)
Discipline workshop for October 2003! Shannon Marting and Ken Zapp
are taking the lead.
- Use listserve/email to post todays discussions.
- Use a website.
Transfer issue/problem two:
How well do students do when they transfer? Need better
information on student Performance quality and quantity.
Strategy(s) to address transfer issue/problem
two:
- Getting together to share texts, syllabi and output
measure.
- BUILD TRUST.
Transfer issue/problem three:
Minor issues:
- Number of credits for macro and micro economics
not always consistent within MnSCU/private/UofM. - three versus four
credits. This is not a transfer issue, but are the students missing
depth.
- Mathematics prerequisite needed for micro/macro
economics? College algebra?
- Should other courses besides macro/micro economics
be offered at the 100 level? Yes, electives such as Consumer Economics.

NOTE: The econ faculty did not have any issues that
they felt needed to be fixed.
