Transfer issue/problem one:                Concern exists over lower division course from two year institutions counting toward Political Science Major (one for one)

Describe below the strategies used and the progress made to address transfer issue/problem one. 

First lists of political science courses offered at all MNSCU institutions were gathered and then distributed to group members. The group surveyed the course offerings from all MNSCU institutions. The group then categorized the courses according to introductory and substantive courses. 

Second, after the November meeting, the group decided to construct a template and database for the collection of political science course information. The group planned on having all members enter this information once it was placed on the MNSCU site.  Two institutions (St. Cloud State and Winona) entered course information onto the site.

Describe below any remaining work needed to address transfer issue/problem one and describe suggested future strategies to accomplish this remaining work.

Strategies three and four, discussion of coherent and consistent course content and the development of a methodology for course review were not undertaken because of a lack of data and group response. 

This would be something that future groups could and should undertake.
